I live on a small farm in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York with my wife and two sons. I developed an early interest in astronomy when I was around 9 years old. Years later I attended Cornell University and earned a degree in Business Management. After college I started a small manufacturing business that produced advanced ceramic components
for the gas turbine industry. After 15 long years it was time to sell off the business and these days I work as a manufacturing engineering consultant.

One of the great things about observing the night sky is that one often quietly reflects on what lies out there beyond our day to day existence. Imagine the billions of years of galactic processes that gave rise to the Sun, Earth, and ultimately to the miracle of life. Its interesting to think that everything that supports the phenomenon of our conscious experience had its origin in the unbounded depths of space. Perhaps someday we'll gain a deeper understanding of the universe by exploring our own inner space...
